Dr Greg Cavanagh
Greg spent most of his childhood in Toowoomba. He gained his veterinary degree (Hons) in 1992 from the University of Queensland. After spending the first Two and a half years of his veterinary career working on the Atherton Tablelands in predominantly dairy practice Greg moved to Gympie and purchased Gympie Veterinary Service in 1995. Greg works with all aspects of veterinary practice but has a strong interest farm animal medicine and equine surgery and reproduction.
Greg has undertaken further study in Equine Medicine and Dentistry and regularly attends veterinary conferences. He is a member of the Australian Veterinary Association, Australian Cattle Veterinarians and Equine Veterinary Association. Greg has also in the past been an external examiner for the University of Qld Veterinary School and has guided many students into successful veterinary careers. He has accreditation in the National Cattle Pregnancy Diagnosis scheme and the Bull Breeding Soundness Scheme.
Greg also spends a day a week in the small animal clinic maintaining his interest is small animal practice as well. Outside of work Greg and his family enjoy time at the beach, boating, fishing and sporting pursuits.
